FAQs - Subscription Help

This Library consists of complete texts from hundreds of Authors. You will find help pages on the various search options once you have entered.

A: If you are a first time visitor and would like a demonstration of this library, please click on menu item: "Free Demonstrations." Here you will find a few samples and a place to register for access to several books.

B: If you have subscribed already, then go directly to menu item: "Login"

C: If you would like to subscribe, the instructions below will guide you through the process. The demonstration is Free and a full subscription requires payment.

Note:

There are only two pages to fill in and two to check to make sure you have filled in the boxes correctly, before the final confirmation of subscription page.

Refunds Are Not Possible.

So please be aware to fill in the details correctly, and then read carefully what you have written on the verification pages. You can always go "back" and correct the details up until you have hit the "pay" button at the end.

If you do not wish to give your credit card information over the Internet, you will find instructions during the subscription process so you can send your details and credit card number by fax.

When you click on menu item to the left: "Subscribe/Buy CD" and go to "Subscribe" you will go to:

1. First Page: Subscription Order Form

Where you will find:

Subscription Options (Select One) Fill in the details carefully. Make sure you check the appropriate box in the "Subscription Options" table for a "Weekly," "Monthly" or "Annual" subscription.

Number of weeks/months/years:

Please check the length of the subscription you want. (Note: We are only offering the option of weeks, months, or years, and the default is "1" -- i.e. 1 week, 1 month or 1 year.)

New Account/ Existing Account: check the box which asks you if this is a new subscription or an addition to an existing one. If you registered for the Free Demonstration you can add the paid subscription to that account.

User name and password: fill in the box that asks you for your choice of user name and password. DO NOT use punctuation in your username or password.

The click "Continue" at the bottom of the page. This takes you to:

2. Second Page: Subscription Order Verification

Please confirm that the details from the following page are as you intended. If not go "back" and make any changes you wish.

Otherwise, click Continue at the bottom of the page. This takes you to:

3. Third Page: Processing Payment Form

Here you will need to:

EMAIL: Fill in your email address
Order Amount Verification: Verify your order is correct
Shipping Method: Leave "OnLine" checked as is
Ship To/Mail To Address: Fill in the boxes in this table
Billing Address: Fill in the boxes in this table

(Note: in both these tables, the "Country" dropdown box lists the countries alphabetically in order of their International Abbreviation. So United Kingdom is GB, under "G" not under "U," Spain is ES, under "E," not "S," Sweden is SE, United Arab Emirates is AE, and Cayman Islands is KY, and so on.)

EMAIL Verify: Again fill in your email address
Comments: As you wish - please include any website you may have followed from
Payment:

Credit card check box: leave "Credit Card" checked as is

Card Number box: fill in your card number and expiry date
(Note: just type the credit card number in without gaps between the numbers.)

Purchase Order check box: ignore this and ignore the next table with the three boxes referring to "purchase order numbers" etc.

And press "Continue" which takes you to Payment Verification Form:

4. Fourth Page: Payment Verification Form

Please read this page carefully to verify that the information is correct.

Then hit the button marked "Pay."

5. Fifth Page: Order Processing Processing Successful. Order ID: Your Receipt

Phew! You made it!

Print out this page for your records. (Go to File/Save As and choose a directory on your computer to save the file to.)

You will immediately receive an email confirmation of your subscription.

Note: You can hit the back button at any stage before this final page to see what you have written and correct any details. And you can print out any page for your records. You are recommended to at least print out this last page.

Important note about configuration of your system

To be able to use the Library, you must be using a browser version 4.x or above (Microsoft Explorer or Netscape).

Your browser must be set to have:

Java enabled

Cookies accepted

If you are going through a firewall or a proxy server, your ISP MUST retain the same IP address for a complete session.

Login is case sensitive and is usually lower case and you should login from the classictexts.net Login page -- NOT A BOOKMARK you may have created.

If you receive an error message, send that page -- not the source code to ctexts@thefiengroup.com. Also send the URL you went to (copy it and paste it into the message).

If you continue to have a problem logging in, go to http://nt5.scbbs.com/check.htm -- AFTER login. This will show you if your system has successfully received the cookie and if java is functioning properly. You can e-mail this page (not the source code) to ctexts@thefiengroup.com to confirm that your system is properly configured and that problem must be at our end. Also include your configuration, browser information, etc., so the webmaster can help you troubleshoot.
