Stuck for an Interesting Sermon?

Paul Clayton-Lea recommends a new CD: a reference tool for students, writers and clerics

by Paul Clayton-Lea (INTERCOM, Ireland November, 2002)

IF you are looking for one CD-Rom which contains references to many of the most famous classical texts written before 1924 for use in essays or theses, or if you need interesting quotes for speeches or sermons, then your search may be over. This CD contains a vast library of classic texts from the Bible to Shakespeare and from Aristotle to Darwin. It is envisaged by its editor as primarily a reference tool for university students, writers and his fellow clerics.

This remarkable collection has taken Fr. Rogers three years of intensive work to compile. It began as a personal project as he became aware of the vast store of theological material available on the internet. Soo his quest developed in a personal library which he quickly realised might be of advantage to others. Having approached The FIEN Group (an electronic publishing group) he was encouraged to expand his database to include works of literature alongside his theological data, which would appeal to a broader audience...

The classictexts website (www.classictexts.net) also offers further information to explore on the content and character of the CD and is worth visiting before deciding to purchase.

Classictexts at Your Fingertips is currently available only at the website www.classictexts.net
